I recently stayed at St. Marks in Sedbergh for a week and it was an absolute delight. The owners, Jo and Damien, extended their warm hospitality and made me feel like a part of their home. They provided valuable local information and even helped me improve my language skills. The house itself is beautifully renovated, with comfortable and tastefully furnished rooms. The stunning countryside surrounding the hotel offered plenty of opportunities for walks and relaxation. I arrived as a stranger but left as a friend, deeply touched by their kindness.
Totally recommend this hotel.
